Marquise by Universal White Cement

Universal's Marquise is a premium pool finish that combines the high performance of an admixture and polymer modified cement beautiful quality natural aggregates and mineral based pigments for a long lasting pool finish.

Created by Mother Nature, these 100% naturally colored aggregates are sourced from around the world. These brilliant and vividly colored aggregates will never fade. Semi-precious stones such as blue lapis, red jasper and a blend of natural green quartz and onyx stones are mined high in the picturesque Andes Mountains. A crushed blend of Mother of Pearl and Abalone shells from the islands of the South Pacific are used to enhance Marquise pool finishes with a shimmering sparkle.

Premium pigments are extremely stable and resistant to UV light and fading.

Pool surface polishing is strongly recommended to expose the natural beauty of these aggregates that would otherwise be trapped beneath the cream layer of the pool surface. A smooth and luxurious pool surface, along with rich vibrantly colored aggregates are a winning combination.

Island by Universal White Cement

Island Series Finest Finish by Universal White Cement provides many improvements to a standard plaster surface. 

A plaster mix can consist of any marble sand and whichever cement is available in the industry however, Island Premium Pool Finish is a premixed combination of quality marble sand, excellent cement and an admixture containing pozzolans and polymers. This admixture modifies the cement to improve the durability and longevity of the pool finish. 

Universal recognizes the powerful role that admixtures can make in improving the durability of cement.  Unfortunately, cement has one poor chemical reaction in the hydration process called calcium hydroxide. Calcium hydroxide is considered to be the weak link in the formation of cement.  In an effort to minimize the effects of calcium hydroxide, Universal has developed the technology and holds the patents for cement chemistry developed for this engineered admixture. The highly reactive pozzolan in thisadmixture addresses the weak link in cement and drastically reduces the formation of calcium hydroxide. The function of the polymer in the admixture is to strengthen the bonding capabilities and flexural strength in the cement which helps to reduce check cracking. Islandis a fine-looking finish that you will be proud of for years to come.

SpectraQuartz

SpectraQuartz replaces the previous offering from 3M ColorQuartz which ceased production in August 2009. However, Oliveira can still match these colors and recommends that you also consider our Sparkle Quartz line which includes crushed abalone shells and other cement strengtheners.
